Cornish Driftwood Mirrors.

I make all of our products by hand in my workshop in Cornwall. Each item is carefully crafted and takes many hours of work. The driftwood is collected from my local beaches,dried and stored until required for the right piece of work.

All of my driftwood mirrors are made by applying pieces of bleached and weathered driftwood onto a driftwood backing frame using pins and nails. The layers are then built up and intertwined to produce each unique mirror. I also sometimes make other small pieces including furniture,shelves,hooks etc,depending on what wood is available and interesting. I also occasionally find very interesting sculptural pieces both large and small and these are then mounted if small onto driftwood bases or if large stand alone pieces,these are left as they are.
